Opportunity is not just what you find in the market but your struggle can motivate you to start your own business and Mr. Parshuram Sawant is such an example who started his banking and finance business out of his struggle of getting a home loan.
MUDRA COMPASS (M): Briefly describe your nature of work, experience and presence.
Parshuram Sawant (PS): We are into banking and financial fields for the last 5 years especially; our expertise lies in home loans. We are working in all cities or Maharashtra to provide the best solution in the field of banking and finance.
M: What encouraged you to start your business/profession?
PS: It was time when we had decided to go for a home loan; we had come to know the lengthy process of documents and a bit of a confusing long process. That has given me a thought that many people are facing challenges in getting home loans due to lack of knowledge in this domain hence we have decided to start professional financial services to extend our expertise and knowledge.
M: What type of struggles/problems did you face as an entrepreneur? What has been your learning from them and how did you overcome them? Anything from your personal life that may have impacted you professionally?
PS: Thereare lots of problems and challenges in a business such as different kinds of customer behavior, mindset, new technology, new rules and regulations etc. Sometimes our customers are not very educated in terms of understanding banking and financial language, or they are hyper or aggressive in getting their work has been done in a quick time. But our motive is always to provide the best customer-centric services which will make them satisfied with our services hence, our calm nature and patience need to be the main factors behind our prompt services.
M: What were the essentials needed to start your business or pursue your profession?
PS: Starting any business needs an interest level of any individual and at the same time one needs adequate knowledge of the domain and a sheer will power to carry on a business.
M: How did you identify the opportunity in the market?
PS: Our struggle of getting a home loan given me an opportunity to work in a field of banking and finance especially, in
a home loan sector and we have seen that many people are facing issue with credit score and credit history that had given me an opportunity to work on that which finally landed as to associate with Apoorvaa Foundation for Credit Rectification work and now we are helping people in their credit rectification work also.
M: What makes you unique as an entrepreneur? Anything from your personality that has helped you professionally?
PS: My nature of helping others makes me different as a unique entrepreneur.
M: Any advice to anyone starting up or budding/aspiring entrepreneurs?
PS: Starting or looking to enter into a business needs a mindset to learn new things and understand the needs of customers.
