MUDRA COMPASS (M): Briefly describe your nature of work, experience and presence.
Jay Tandon (JT): I am a computer science engineer. I have more than 5+ years of experience in financial sales service and distribution, BPO and other sales services. Norcia is the leading sales and marketing outsourcing services provider that helps organizations to achieve the results they desire without the costs they dread. Our offerings include Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Sales Process Outsourcing (SPO), Managed Services Provider (MSP), and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). M: What encouraged you to start your business/profession?
JT: I am always passionate about creating the best and excellent financial product. So at Norcia, we are passionate about creating the best funding options for every financial need of our consumers with technology that makes lending easy to understand and easy to access.
M: What type of struggles/problems did you face as an entrepreneur? What has been your learning from them, and how did you overcome them? Anything from your personal life that may have impacted you professionally?
JT: Struggle and success go side by side, but the only option I believe to overcome is to learn continuously. We had also faced struggles in creating leads, handling staff, and finding Investors for our business. But, the journey has never ended here, I learned Digital Marketing and other marketing techniques to generate leads, and learned some tactics to tackle internal management and staff management.
M: What were the essentials needed to start your business or pursue your profession?
JT: I must say when you are passionate to do something, nothing can stop you but your knowledge of the product, well motivated staff, marketer who can advertise your product/services efficiently, well-learned telesales agents who can convert leads, and proper operational plans for your business gives you wings to fly.
M: What makes you unique as an entrepreneur? Anything from your personality that has helped you professionally?
JT: In my opinion, everyone is unique, but having a different skill set makes you good as a businessman. We must know all the bits of the operations, sales, and marketing, even though someone else is doing that for us.
M: What has been your learning from entrepreneurship/your profession?
JT: In the financial industry, I have learned that always making the process easy and understandable to customers. Making an easy and secure environment for customers will always help us to build a more reliable brand.
