A self-believer and passionate person can win the game, Chetankumar Solanki, a Director of Smit Financial Services an example of that, leading a successful professional life in the financial sector.  

MUDRA COMPASS (M):  Briefly describe your nature of work, experience and presence.

CHETAN SOLANKI (CS): I have been working in the financial sector for the last 15 years and working with different Banks, NBFCs as a Financial Consultant.

M:  What encouraged you to start your business/profession?

CS: I always wanted to work in an independent environment with full freedom and always thought to make my own decision hence I have decided to enter in entrepreneurship rather than doing a job.

M:  Whom do you consider as your inspiration/idol professionally and why?

CS: I always believe in continuous learning on an everyday basis, so whatever, I learn from everyone and I consider them as my idol, be it situation, people, experience anything.

M:   What type of struggles/problems did you face as an entrepreneur? What has been your learning from them and how did you overcome them? Anything from your personal life that may have impacted you professionally?

CS: Every day one new competitor enters into our business, but my strong belief in myself gives me the power to accept the challenges and I learn to overcome the challenges and become successful. My habit of accepting challenges with my positive attitude is the key element that makes me successful.

M:  What were the essentials needed to start your business or pursue your profession?

CS: Hailing from a middle class family , I had lots of problems and challenges to overcome to meet my day to day life but my strong belief and passion to grow helped me to start my business and today I have achieved all that I have desired.

M:  How did you identify the opportunity in the market?

CS: I always believe in having a vision and also I am a futuristic person with a strong positive attitude towards market opportunity.

M:  What makes you unique as an entrepreneur? Anything from your personality that has helped you professionally?

CS: My ethics towards my work and dedication makes me unique as an entrepreneur. I always do my work with confidence and with integrity and always I keep myself away from unethical work that has made me successful.

M:   What has been your learning from entrepreneurship/your profession?

CS: In simple words if you want to satisfy your customer then always provide the best services to them and my motto is always to provide best services.

M:  Any Message for Society.

CS: We are suffering from covid-19 pandemic at present, so I request you to be safe and also your family from this.

M: Any Suggestion for Government.

CS: Government should open more and more hospitals in our nation so that we can handle health emergencies.

My ethics towards my work and dedication makes me unique as an entrepreneur.
